How much Gold is produced and consumed, compared to Silver?


According to the "British Geological Survey", 143,000,000 ounces of Gold has been produced (Made available) between 2006 and 2010.

However, according to the "World Gold Council", only 35,900,000 ounces of Gold has been consumed since 2011.

The entire world industry requires over 900 million ounces of Silver each year.

The difference between the amount of Silver consumed compared to Gold is 874 million ounces (25 x).

Silver (Ag) has some of the last remaining reserves in the world, and there is estimated to be 510,000 tons (17,900,000,000 ounces) of Silver left in the ground.
